Gabriel Harb is a Canadian-Brazilian filmmaker, born in Brazil and based in Canada, whose passion for storytelling and visual arts emerged at an early age. Drawing from the rich tapestry of his Italian and Brazilian heritage, Gabriel crafts unique and vibrant narratives in every script he writes and film he directs. While he primarily focuses on horror and thriller genres, Gabriel is not afraid to explore other styles of storytelling, bringing versatility and depth to his creative vision.
The intention behind creating Fleur was to bring to life a richly textured, neon-soaked noir film. Every shot was meticulously crafted and lit with precision, ensuring that the visual language reflected the core of the creative vision. At its heart, Fleur explores the apathy and twisted joy of its protagonist, who captures images of her victims as a reflection of her broken inner self. This duality—her detachment and her compulsion—serves as a haunting metaphor for the fractures within her psyche.
