Director Biography - Andrés Pena

Andres Pena was born in the Dominican Republic in 1992. In 2013 he graduated as a Director from the National Film School of Argentina (ENERC), which depends on the National Film Institute (INCAA).

During his stay there he learned everything related to photography, composition. He collaborated on a couple of short films and wrote the script for other colleagues, mixing cultures and ideas.

At the beginning of 2014, he participated in a contest for a National Scholarship awarded by the National Film Institute (INCAA) for the script for the first season of a narrative television program: Los Mariachis del Despecho 2 (Heartbreak Mariachis 2).

In the Dominican Republic he participated and collaborated in several short films, he also directed some music videos and commercials.

In addition, it received the INCAA TV award at the ADF film festival and received a special mention for the best script proposal for an international short film at the 9th. Film Festival in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
