Mohamed Ismail Shawki, a Cairo-based visual artist, and a graduate from the high institute of cinema in Egypt. Ismail works with a variety of mediums, whether installation, photography or street art. He has been an active street artist since 2010. He co-founded the street art group Monalisa brigades in 2012. Ismail has been working and volunteering in arts and cultural development since 2010. He participated in a number of group exhibitions such as Roznama 4 and Biennale Off. His artistic practice is inspired by the Cairene street scene, whether in context or content.
