Fire from the Sky: The United States Strategic Bombing Campaign on Japan in World War II
While the United States and the allies of World War II were fighting in Europe, a parallel war in the Pacific was raging. Almost solely on its own, the United States began a massive multi-front campaign against Japan, driving the enemy back to its homeland. Then, on the wings of the mighty B-29 Superfortress, launched the largest air assault in history, devastating dozens of cities, and culminating in the use of the newly developed nuclear bomb. The strategic air campaign and the nuclear bombs changed the world forever.

Having traveled much of the US and Europe, Jonathan Chase Cook developed a deep interest in history and in revealing the little known details often overlooked in modern media. After completing his career as a software engineer he now devotes his professional energies to exploring history and its impact on today's world. Working alone and without the influence of outside money, he creates written and film media that digs deep into the historic details that impacts us even today.
“As a history documentary writer and filmmaker I dig deep into the historic detail. I do not rely on modern interpretation, but scour the archives for original documentation, imagery, film and ephemera; revealing rare facts and ideas.”
“I take the reader back in time to draw their own conclusions.”
