Director Statement

"Fired Up: A Nerdy Cartoon" came about when I started making a comic about Nerdy. I got one panel in before deciding "you know what, this might be funnier as a cartoon". And so I did that. You can watch it to prove I'm not lying.

The cartoon itself is inspired by the media that inspires me on the whole; projects like "Hundreds of Beavers", "The LEGO Movie" and "Eddsworld" are part of my DNA, and my love for them helped to shape not only "Fired Up", but my creative work on the whole.

I consider this to be the fourth big Nerdy Cartoon since I started making them in 2013, and pushed every aspect of my creative skills, from the visual style to the animation itself, and even reaching out to fellow creatives to create original music!

"Fired Up" is the cartoon I'm most proud of so far, it came out exactly how I envisioned it, and I hope that it'll give you a lil chuckle or two :)
