Fire Bones

Told in ten chapters via multiple mediums including podcasts, videos, poems, and songs, Fire Bones follows the journey of a poet and filmmaker as they explore the mystery of a crop-duster pilot and Pentecostal preacher who vanished on a transatlantic flight. The two men encounter one eccentric character after another as their trip brings them closer to the truth of her story and ultimate destination.

GREG BROWNDERVILLE
Fire Bones showrunner / writer / creator

The author of three books of poetry—A Horse with Holes in It, Deep Down in the Delta, and Gust—Greg Brownderville is a professor of English at SMU in Dallas; the editor-in-chief of Southwest Review, the nation’s third-longest-running literary quarterly; and the lead singer of the band Beekeeper Spaceman. Brownderville is also the host of The Greg Brownderville Dimension, a YouTube channel and podcast.

BART WEISS
Fire Bones director / executive producer

An award-winning filmmaker, educator, and writer, Bart Weiss served for decades as the director and founder of the Dallas VideoFest. He produces Frame of Mind on KERA TV, hosts the podcast titled The Fog of Truth, and was a longtime professor of film at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is the author of the forthcoming book from Routledge titled Smartphone Cinema: Making Great Films with Your Mobile Phone.
