Experiencing Interruptions?

Fine Wit

A cupcake, a package and an audition drive the motives of three friends stuck on a video call together. Inspired by Hamlet, Macbeth and Othello, this modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's work capture the essence and absurdity of three of his classic tragedies.

Filmed during lockdown and a time of homeschooling, this short film embraces the current situation of our community, and through the cinematography, also subtly touches on the impacts of the bushfires on the natural land.

Director Statement

This short film is a passionate expression of my love for film, Shakespeare and satire. It had to suddenly be changed when we were thrust into lockdown. I quickly composed a new script that was completely different from the previous one. Even though we had to change it, I'm still incredibly proud of what we produced.
