Finding Stardust
A documentary short on the trials and transformation of Jordyn. After finishing her soccer career, Jordyn had to rediscover her passions, beliefs, and the life she wanted to live. Portland will always be home for her, but Van life has given her a new freedom that plays to her strengths. Tattooing has been a major outlet for her to remain creative and physically present with her body.
The Oregon wildfires from September, 2020 forced Jordyn to venture out of Bend and build her client base. Jordyn continues to travel across the states, tattooing and stepping into the unknown.

Silas Tolles is an accomplished documentary filmmaker from the PNW. Born and raised in WA, Silas has a strong passion for the outdoors and storytelling.
Silas' style and tone comes from his observant personality. With every film, Silas tries to capture the truest form, beliefs, and intentions of whoever or whatever he's capturing.
This film was a challenge to step outside of my comfort zone. Before making this film I had never personally met Jordyn before in my life. After hearing her story from a mutual friend, Jordyn and I hopped on a call and decided to do an 8 day road trip from Portland to San Francisco in which I would capture her story and lifestyle.
I'm very proud of the effort put into this film and hope it encourages any viewers to swerve from routine every once in awhile. You might make a new friend out of it.
