My story starts with being born in New York to a Brooklyn business professor and a former nun from Pennsylvania and growing up in New Jersey, Europe and Boston, L.A. and finally landing in Nashville, TN. We would end up moving fifteen times before I was twelve. My earliest memory was that I wanted to be in the movies and tell stories. I first picked up a camera when I was in fifth grade, inspired by Star Wars and the magical world that was prime time television in the eighties. As a teen, I was hell bent on filmmaking until music took over and soon swept me off to sunny Los Angeles to live on multiple couches as a long-haired heavy metal singer and songwriter ie: A Storyteller...just louder. I paid the bills by working on countless series and features both in front of and behind the camera, joining SAG/AFTRA and learning the Hollywood ropes working on sets with everyone from Tarantino to Zemeckis and shows from Full House to Speed. I soaked it all in. When music shot me back across the country to Nashville, I worked in production again on over one hundred music videos, working my way up to Production Manager and Assistant Director. Soon, the rekindling of my childhood passion couldn't be ignored any longer and I wrote and directed the short film, “Rocco & Vinnie”. After that well-received dark comedy made its festival run, I went all in and haven't stopped since. I've written and directed two distributed features, multiple shorts, music videos and commercials for Vizio and Wall Street Journal. I'm part of a long gestating and now blooming indie filmmaking community in Nashville that I am proud to have played a small part in manifesting. "Final" is my latest short and I am developing my next feature as well as writing/developing TV pilots and series.
While I tend to be attracted to the darker and fantastic side of storytelling, l always aspire to shine a little light into that darkness. "Final" was created to be an entertaining thriller with a different kind of horrific twist, but I also hope it can be and mean something more as well.
