The format of this years festival has been altered due to loss of venue and low submissions. All accepted films will be screened throughout the coming months as opening films during our “50 Greatest Films by Black Directors” film series.

Screening dates and times will be posted on this page. We plan to bring the festival back in 2017 better and more focused!

Rules & Terms

Submission Eligibility

All submissions must have been completed after January 1, 2013.

All Short/Narrative Features/Documentaries/Webseries must be directed by a person of African descent or feature a person of African descent in a leading role or main subject.

There is no premiere policy for submission.

The Filmmakers Corner Film Festival WILL NOT accept entries we view to be pornographic in nature. Adult content or language does not necessarily disqualify films from being accepted.

Digital Screeners:
1. Create a FilmFreeway account.
2. Under “My Projects” select “Add a Project”
3. Complete the form (you will have the option to provide a link
to your digital screener or upload a file – up to 4GB)
