Director Kolya, a young specialist, is obsessed with the dream of making his own auteur film, but instead he is forced to do daily routine work in the film studio archives. The announced short film festival at Belarusfilm is a real chance for Kolya, especially when such a master as Yuri Stoyanov is on the jury! Will the debutant be able to realize his dream and make a film, even a short one? It turns out that everything is possible if you have friends and each of them can not only help, but also find the only right solution in a hopeless situation. Having gone through this difficult path, Nikolai gains self-confidence, finds his love and comes to the understanding that the main event is that his film was accepted and recognized by the audience.
