The Audience Awards and Fusion Media are hosting an online film school single elimination style bracket competition to determine the United States’ emerging film schools (college/University). Film School Face Off will award $4000 to the top three most voted films PLUS $100 to every competing film from the FINAL round winning school, and Fusion will offer distribution deals to their favorite short films.

1st Place: $2500 | 2nd Place: $1000 | 3rd Place: $500 | Top School: $1000 ($100 per film)

Any film about any genre that is 45 minutes and under is eligible.

The school(College/University) id card you submit must be current or have expired in the past 5 years.

You must have the authority to submit the film for our consideration.

Your film will be viewable to the general public for voting purposes.

You must have obtained all the necessary rights (including music rights), consents, authorizations and licenses covering the film. There must not be pending or anticipated litigation regarding the film.

The films begin competing September 22, 2015 at 8:00 am MT. The film with the most votes on October 28, 2015 at 4:00 pm MT wins $2500, 2nd Place: $1500, 3rd Place: $1000

The Audience Awards will send the payment via Paypal within 30 days of the competition ending to the email address provided during site registration.

Payment is due in full at time of registration and there are no refunds. Please read all rules and terms before submitting your film.

You will be provided a filmmaker page and can raise money on The Audience Awards site.

The film must not include hate speech, excessive violence, slanderous or libelous claims, or any other actionable offenses.

The film must not infringe any rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or IP rights, including any music-related rights, (ii) be defamatory or indecent, and (iii) violate any applicable laws.

The audience can vote everyday for the films they like once a day during the competition dates. One person may only use each account login - a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted. You must be a human. Accounts registered by "bots" or other automated methods are not permitted. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account. You may not vote for someone else. If you are caught cheating and you have a film in competition, your film will be deleted from the competition and will not be eligible to receive the prize.

Bracket rounds:

The competition takes 5 weeks.

Week 1: 4 schools will compete and 2 schools will move on. The winner is determined by the total amount of votes each film from each school garnishes. The films work together to gain audience votes and move onto the next round.

Week 2: The other 4 schools compete the same as schools from week 1. Winners from week 1 have a break during this week.

Week 3: The 2 winners from Week 1 compete to move on to the final round.

Week 4: The 2 winners from week 2 compete to move on to the final round.

Week 5/Final week: The Final Two schools compete for best film school and the best films. The film school with the most overall votes from their 10 films wins the Top Film school in Film School Face Off.
