1. We accept all genres, including artist moving image and documentaries, but unfortunately not music videos.
2. To qualify for this competition, the producer, director or writer lives in the South East region, specifically the counties of Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey or Sussex.
3. Films must have been completed since September 2017.
4. We do not require the films to premiere as part of this competition, nor does the film being available online disqualify it from entry.
5. Films must be under ten minutes in length
6. Entries must be in English or with English subtitles.
7. Successful films will be screened at events at both CineCity and Cambridge Film Festival. Entering this competition does not affect your chances of being selected in the wider programme for either festival, but you must also apply separately for the festivals to be eligible.
8. By submitting your film, you agree not to withdraw your film from screening at Cinecity or Cambridge Film Festival after it has been accepted by our selection team
9. Submission also certifies that all film and music rights and clearances have been obtained in accordance with UK copyright laws
10. Unfortunately, we cannot offer feedback on all submitted films due to the number of submissions
11. We can accept films on pro-res formats, but DCP with Blu-Ray back up is preferred.
