Film Crash is an annual film festival showcasing independent short films. The programmers select a group of films, screening in one day in Los Angeles. Awards are presented. Film Crash was born out of the creative tempest of Manhattan’s East Village and Lower East Side during the Roaring 80’s. Known for creating a vibrant film community encouraging people and ideas to “crash” together, Film Crash has multiplied and traveled the globe. We look forward to your films.

A very well organized festival by seasoned and enthusiastic Matthew Harrison. The warmest welcome of any festival during my career and great support for indie filmmakers with unique storytelling styles. Film Crash Festival is a model for inspiring young filmmakers to take risks. Thank you for a great festival experience!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Film Crash. It has opened many doors for a film that a platoon of creative and passionate student artists made, with their blood, sweat, and tears. Being selected, and ultimately winning our category, at such a venerable and respected festival, has created a surge of interest in us all as filmmakers, which excites us all to no end. We communicated with Matthew Harrison, who is the epitome of class with his kind generosity, electric enthusiasm, and love of film. His energy resonated with all those who interacted with him, and we wish Matthew and the FilmCrash family continued success, and that the festival runs for a very long time. Thank you for igniting a sense of excitement and pride in over 20 young (and 1 older) filmmakers. Any artists submitting their film to FilmCrash guarantees them an amazing and rewarding experience.
