Fight Μode
An immigrant woman, recently separated, who resides and works in Barcelona, she moved temporarily to an Airbnb house in the city. there, she realizes that the balcony door of the house is locked. At the same time, she comes across at a new arrival in the house, a man, who is on vacation and they spend some hours together. The man before he leaves the house, he gives her a key of the house. She realizes that the key he gave to her, matches the balcony locker, so she can open the balcony door and take a breath. At the same time, another man arrives at the Airbnb house and insists to spend some time with the woman, whereas she doesn't seem positive about his proposal.
The short film idea was formed by the social necessity to talk about the existing Rape Culture which was always and remains the hell of femininities. The film describes the constant danger we face as women to be victims of rape. THE PRACTICES OF PATRIARCHY AND SEXISM oppress us FROM our childhood by treating us with constant fear to experience sexual abuse and in many cases, it can also be converted to femicide if we are not in the position to defend ourselves. All of us have in our daily life to deal with patriarchy, sexism, homophobia, many of us are survivors of sexual harassment and some of us are dead.
Society is responsible when we are ashamed to talk about rape. Society Rapes us for a second, third time by victim-blaming. When our rape is being contested, when as victims we are humiliated with questions that offend our individuality, when facial stacks are following us, when we bring the case to the courts and there is no justice in relation with the abuse we have received, when media reproduce femicide as a crime of passion and not a crime because of gender.
We will fight our stories -herstory- not to becomes just a colored sign on a Sexual harassment map.
The war will never end, we are fighting for gender equality, against patriarchy, homophobia, racism, fascism the sexism in every moment.

I studied Fine Arts and Sciences of Art, (2007-12) at the Department University of Ioannina in Greece and attended the Postgraduate Program "Creation and Communication in Audiovisual Arts"(2017-19). My work depicts social issues with the aim to raise awareness through Art and to expand a public discussion on how individuals can change the usual response from bystander apathy to care about what happens in society.
My practice has been affected by daily life and how individuals are responsible for the transformation of society. Starting from this overarching perspective, the paintings and videos try to give voice to the struggles, sufferings, and journeys of those in the zones of abandonment and marginalization as well as represent those (gendered or ethnic) voices are oppressed and dominated by hegemonic structures in society.
These stem from a belief and understanding that by synthesizing the social facts with the artistic speech, artists may invite the public to an open and unconventional dialogue. The perspectives of work focus on describing the contemporary life and how the impact of the individual's actions forms the frame of society. One of my projects, the “Sos-iety” 2017-21 underlines the daily life of injustice and the emergency of the social operation against femicide, human trafficking, bullying, stereotypes, gender discrimination, patriarchy, sexism, racism, homophobia, fascism, poverty, and the war against immigrants and refugees. The project aims is to raise social awareness and to motivate society to think about the possibility to involve in a less violent future.
My techniques contain mixed media such as painting, video art, urban activism, and installation.
