La Orquidea” - Cuenca International Film Festival is focused essentially on fiction features; it takes place every November in the city of Cuenca in Ecuador.
The Festival comprises six sections, four of which are competitive: Long feature International Competition, First Feature Ibero-American Competition, an Ecuadorian Short Film Competition and “En Marcha” (In progress).
After three successful editions, which gathered more than 64.000 spectators, the Festival is positioning itself as one of the main cultural events in Ecuador and aspires to further increase its presence in the region.
Several prominent international film professionals have given workshops and master classes during the Festival. In past editions we have welcomed speakers from Spain, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, the United States, among others.
This year, we will also be hosting a Screenplay Laboratory to improve the quality of projects from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela. Several leading screenwriters from the United States and Latin America will be tutoring the projects.
The admission to all the events at “La Orquidea” Cuenca Film Festival is free.

The III International Film Festival Orchid - Cuenca is an initiative of the Province of Azuay and will take place between 14 and 21 November 2014.

1.4 -. Participation

2 -. COMPETITIVE SECTIONS

. 5 - SELECTED FILMS

5.1 -. Catalog, promotional material and press

5.1.1 -. Aiming to properly edit the catalog and other printed matter, representatives of selected films provide the necessary material. The Festival will receive a full registration record three frames of film and photography director.

5.1.2 -. Decisions about editorial content catalog at the discretion of the Festival.

6 -. PROJECTION ON COPIES

6.1 -. Languages ​​and subtitles. Selected films will be screened in its original language. For films that are not spoken in Spanish, the Festival will favor screening copies with subtitles in Spanish. 6.2 -. Submitting copies

7 -. ABOUT THIS REGULATION
