Le Festival International du Film Panafricain (FIFP) de Cannes est une plateforme d’exposition du Cinéma et de ses métiers, des Arts et des savoir-faire, mais également de l’Innovation, de la Culture et de l’Événementiel. Le FIFP est un moment, une expérience unique où le cinéma panafricain et les cultures africaines ainsi que celles de sa diaspora à travers le monde sont à la disposition de tous. C’est une énergie exceptionnelle.

Le FIFP a été créé et fondé par Mr. NGANGUE EBELLE Eitel Basile et par l’association NORD SUD DÉVELOPPEMENT, association agréée jeunesse et Éducation Populaire Ministère de la santé, de la jeunesse et des sports n° 06514.

Depuis 2006, date de sa création, le DIKALO AWARDS (« message » en langue Douala-Cameroun) est décerné par un jury professionnel au meilleur long et court métrage (fiction), au meilleur long et court métrage documentaire, Dikalo de la paix, au meilleur acteur et actrice.

ABOUT US

The International “Festival International du Film Panafricain” (FIFP) in Cannes is a platform that exhibits cinema and its professions, arts and entrepreneurship, as well as innovation, culture and events. The FIFP is a felt moment. It is a unique experience where PanAfrican cinema and African cultures and those of its diaspora around the world are the central focus. An exceptional energy is felt.

The FIFP was created and founded by Mr. Eitel Basile NGANGUE EBELLE and the “Association Nord Sud Développement, agréée jeunesse et Education Populaire Ministère de la santé, de la jeunesse et des sports n° 06514”.

Since its creation in 2006, the DIKALO AWARDS (meaning « message » in the Cameroonian language Douala) has been awarded by a professional jury for the best short and feature films (fiction), the best long and short documentaries, the Dikalo Peace Award, as well as the best actor and actress awards.

Since 2004, the "Festival International du Film PanAfricain de Cannes" has been a platform for promoting cinema, the film industry, culture and art. Since it was created in 2006, the DIKALO (meaning "message" in the Cameroonian language – Douala) has been presented by a panel of judges for the best feature film (fiction) and short film (fiction), best documentary, and best actor and actress.

Note: Your film can be accepted and screened during the festival without being in competition for a Dikalo Award.

LE SOUS-TITRAGE DES FILMS

Aucun sous titrage n'est exigé lors de la soumission de votre film. En revanche, dès son acceptation au festival, les règles suivantes doivent être respectées :
- Les films utilisant l’anglais doivent être sous titrés en français.
- Les films utilisant la langue française doivent être sous titrés en anglais.
- Les films utilisant une troisième langue ou une autre langue (autre que le français ou l’anglais) doivent être sous titrés en français et en anglais de façon simultanée.

Si votre film est sélectionné, un fichier numérique de votre film doit être envoyé en HD (format .MP4, .MOV ou .MKV). Envoie à tech@fifp.fr via Wetransfer ou autres plateformes de transfert. Le DCP n'est pas accepté pour des raisons logistiques.

SUBTITLE REQUIREMENT

No subtitles are required upon film submission. However, once your film is accepted into the festival, the following rules must be followed:
- Films presented in English must contain French subtitles.
- Films presented in French must contain English subtitles.
- Films containing a third or any other language (other than French or English) must contain simultaneous subtitles in both French and English.

If accepted, your film must be submitted in digital High Definition format (either in .MP4, .MOV or .MKV format) via Wetransfer, or other file sharing platforms to tech@fifp.fr. For logistical reasons, we will not accept films in the DCP format.

    I was very very impressed with this festival and their organisation. I loved the fact that they stayed true to the African theme and the focus of the organisers. There is a true sense of community. I met some really lovely and talented filmmakers and it's an experience I won't forget quickly. I would also like to thank the festival for believing in my film and for the coveted Dikalo Award for Best Feature Film. It truly was/is the cherry on the cake for me. Thank you so much!

    I really can not recommend this festival highly enough. It was WONDERFUL and so much fun! The organizers and the judges create a really warm and welcoming community. It felt like entering a big, creative family. I was inspired by the quality of the films I saw and also the commitment and vision of the fellow filmmakers. And, Cannes, is really an incredible and beautiful place for a film festival. Definitely submit and enjoy!!
