1. RULES AND REGULATIONS: ATUK ECUADORIAN FILM FESTIVAL

The 3rd Atuk Ecuadorian Film Festival will take place from October 1 to 8, 2021. Born as a cultural cinematographic need in which we have evidenced a deficit of attention to the production of student production of short films by students, audiovisual producers and filmmakers.

2. OBJECTIVE OF THE FESTIVAL

3. CONDITIONS
3.1. DATES

The 3rd Ecuadorian Atuk Film Festival will take place in the city of Quito from October 1 - 8, 2021. Documentary, fiction and animation short films made after January 1, 2020 will be eligible to participate.

3.2. PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION

Applications for the Ecuadorian Film Festival Atuk this year are open for documentary, fiction and animation short films. All short films must be completed after January 1, 2020.

The producer or director holding the rights must submit the short film to the Festival before June 1, 2021.

Each producer or director may only submit 1 short film in each category (fiction, animation and documentary). Short films must be less than 20 minutes long.

4. SELECTION

The Selection Committee will be integrated by members of the Atuk Ecuadorian Film Festival, who will carry out their work according to the parameters of quality and creativity previously established by the Festival's Direction.

In case the film is selected, the person who made the registration will be notified and will be informed on the corresponding dates.

5. TRANSLATIONS

Films not spoken in Spanish will be screened with subtitles. If the filmmakers have a Spanish or English subtitled version, it will be used as a reference for the Festival. Otherwise, the selection committee will evaluate its translation and subtitling according to priorities and resources.

6. JURY

The Jury will be composed of qualified professionals from outside the Festival organization. Persons with interests in the production and/or exploitation of the short films presented in the official selection will not be allowed to be part of the Jury.

7. CATALOG, PRESS, PROMOTION

Those responsible for the short films selected for any of the Competitions undertake to include in all their press and publicity material the phrase "Official Selection of the Ecuadorian Film Festival Atuk" and the Festival's logo.

The persons linked to the selected short films agree not to publicize their participation until the Festival's program is broadcasted.

The logo and its variants for funding must be requested to the Festival by sending an e-mail to: festivalcineatuk@gmail.com, with the subject: Promotion of selected short film.

8. TRAVELING, INTERNATIONAL AND DIGITAL SCREENINGS

The selected short films may be included, after the Festival, in touring and international cycles throughout the year. international cycles throughout the year.

The projects selected for the Festival will be published in our virtual platform, which will serve as a place of diffusion for a period of 5 years. All rights of the short films will continue to be held by the producers and directors during this period.

9. ACCEPTANCE

The submission of the short films and documents for the participation of the 3rd Ecuadorian Festival of Cine Atuk, implies the knowledge and total acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. REGLAMENTO: FESTIVAL ECUATORIANO DE CINE ATUK

El 3° Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk se llevará a cabo los días 1 al 8 de octubre del 2021. Nace como una necesidad cultural cinematográfica en donde evidenciamos un déficit de atención a la producción de cortometrajes de estudiantes, productores audiovisuales y cineastas.

Cada vez es más grande la producción del cortometraje en nuestro País, pero son cada vez menos los espacios que promueven su exhibición y reconocimiento.

Es necesario promover espacios de asociación y vinculación del cortometraje con la ciudadanía y comunidades. De este modo, construir una cultura del cortometrajismo propia, íntima y valiosa.

2. OBJETIVO DEL FESTIVAL
El objetivo del Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk es desarrollar un concurso de cortometrajes con la participación de cineastas, estudiantes y productores audiovisuales para promover, difundir y reconocer el cortometrajismo local, nacional e internacional.

3. CONDICIONES
3.1. FECHAS

El 3° Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Quito del 1 – 8 de octubre del 2021. Podrán participar cortometrajes documental, ficción, animación realizados posterior al 1 de enero de 2020.

3.2. PARTICIPACIÓN E INSCRIPCIÓN

Las aplicaciones para el Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk en esta ocasión están abiertas para cortometrajes documental, ficción, animación Todos los cortometrajes debieron ser terminados después del 1 de enero de 2020.

El productor o realizador que detente los derechos deberá inscribir el cortometraje al Festival, antes del 1 de junio de 2021.

Cada productor o realizador solo podrá inscribir 1 cortometraje en cada categoría (ficción, animación y documental). Los cortometrajes deben tener una duración menor a 20 minutos.

4. SELECCIÓN

El Comité de Selección estará integrado por miembros del Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk, quienes llevarán a cabo su trabajo según los parámetros de calidad y creatividad fijados previamente por la Dirección del Festival.

En caso de que la película sea seleccionada, se notificará a la persona que realizó el registro y se le informará en las fechas correspondientes.

5. TRADUCCIONES

Las películas no habladas en español se proyectarán con subtítulos. En el caso de que los realizadores dispongan de versión subtitulada al español o inglés, esta será de referencia para el Festival, en caso contrario, el comité de selección evaluará su traducción y subtitulado según prioridades y recursos.

6. JURADOS

El Jurado estará compuesto por profesionales calificados ajenos a la organización del Festival. No podrán formar parte del Jurado aquellas personas que tengan intereses en la producción y/o explotación de los cortometrajes presentados en la selección oficial.

7. CATÁLOGO, PRENSA, PROMOCIÓN

Los responsables de los cortometrajes seleccionados para alguna de las Competencias se comprometen a incluir en todo su material de prensa y publicidad la frase “Selección oficial del Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk” y el logo del Festival.

Las personas vinculadas a los cortometrajes seleccionados se comprometen a no difundir su participación hasta que la programación del Festival sea emitida.

El logo y sus variantes para fondos debe ser solicitado al Festival mediante un mail a: festivalcineatuk@gmail.com, con el asunto: Promoción cortometraje seleccionado.

8. MUESTRAS ITINERANTES, INTERNACIONALES Y DIGITALES

Los cortometrajes seleccionados podrán ser incluidos, luego del Festival, en ciclos itinerantes e internacionales a lo largo del año.

Los proyectos seleccionados para el Festival tendrán la publicación en nuestra plataforma virtual, que servirá como un lugar de difusión por un tiempo de 5 años. Todos derechos de los cortometrajes continuarán en poder de los productores y realizadores durante este periodo.

9. ACEPTACIÓN

El envío de los cortometrajes y los documentos para la participación del 3° Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk, implica el conocimiento y total aceptación de las presentes bases y condiciones.

Cualquier excepción, duda o conflicto, será evaluada y resuelta por la comisión organizadora del Festival. La interpretación y aplicación de las mismas corresponde a la organización del Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk.

Una vez inscrita y seleccionada, la película no podrá ser retirada de la programación del 3° Festival Ecuatoriano de Cine Atuk.
