Director Biography - Natalie Lauer

Natalie Lauer is the oldest child of a nuclear physicist and an endocrinologist. Her family immigrated from Russia when the Berlin wall came down in the '90s. Raised in an isolated Moscow apartment with a piano and toy tanks, then to resettle in the middle-of-nowhere Pennsylvania, crippled her social skills. Natalie prefers the company of imaginary characters, dark beer and poetry to most reality.

Director Statement

Maybe it's my immigrant work ethic, but I don't believe in talent. I believe it takes grinding work to nail your visions in meaningful images and a great team to execute the madness.
