Director Biography - Janai Julien

Raised in Brooklyn, New York and grew up like most of the kids around me with my face glued to the tv screen. Having come from a carribean upbringing it wasn’t always looked at something that I should be doing. However, once Japanese anime made it’s way over to the west I would find myself consumed with story telling without a care for much else. I didn’t realize that I would fall in love with so much to the point that I would make it my career path but nothing else makes me happier.
