Director Statement

The synopsis of the film is based on my life experiences – I am a son to two divorced parents. My parents divorced when I was only three years old. That said, I grew up knowing them only as two divorced people, and only have few fragments of memories of them as a loving couple. Thirty-three years ago, my father had a sever case of Meningitis, that left him crippled to this day, physically and mentally. The occurrence in the film is based on real life events – minutes after a physical fight between my sister and my father's second wife, I was strapped in a seating belt, forced to have a conversation with my father in his car. Unlike Nimrod, I didn't have the courage to ask my father if he really loves his wife. I still don't. I decided to write and film a monolog based on the scenario in which I asked the question – presenting the audience my father's presumed answer.
