FallingForHerName.mp3 (3.52 MB)Falling For Her Name
Picture spoke a thousand words
None of which we're saying
Staying silent, dancing, waiting still
Delaying, praying that we feel the same
I've never fallen for a name
Breathing isn't quite the same
When it's on my lips
I have the hardest time remembering names
So it's funny how it slips into my brain
I've never fallen for a name
But I could spell it out
Letter for letter, know it better
Than the back of my hand
This wasn't planned
You have to understand
I've never stolen anybody's heart
But to know your name, that's a start
Call me crazy, maybe it's the lights
The moment's right for something
That I think I'll fight for
is tonight why I've been waiting
You can't blame me for wondering
I think I'm falling for her name
Flower by another
But it fits just like a glove
Her hand in mine
If I just had the guts I'd tell her all the time
It's such a shame-
too scared to call out
But I'm falling for her name
But I could spell it out
Letter for letter
Know it better
Than the back of my hand

My name is Calvin Sudar and I release music under the stage name Watterson. I am a senior at Lone Peak High School and I've been writing and recording my original music for a few years. I'm very excited to share it with the world- I just released my first LP called 1AMWITHOUTU and have been playing shows locally. Watterson is my solo artist project and I hope to continue writing, recording, and playing in the future.
"Falling For Her Name" is one of my favorite songs I've ever worked on. I wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire project myself and it means a lot to me. It was a very fun piece to work on and I'm glad I could submit it to UHSFF.
