Faces of Prostate Cancer

Fourteen years ago I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer and started my battle with the disease. That's why I decided to make this documentary about six men - myself included - who have all been diagnosed with this cancer at a young age.
The film portray these men and how they struggle with the cancer diagnosis and its impact on their family, wife, children, career - their whole life. It was filmed in Denmark during the summer 2020.
My purpose is to help other men understand the psycological aspects of their diagnosis, and to help the health care system become better at not just treating the disease, but also to understand and help the whole person.
For decades, prostate cancer has had an image of being an "old man's disease"  with little prestige among health care professionals and researchers. I hope this film will open these people's creative minds to develop even better diagnosis and treatment methods in the future.
