KIM Min-jung reflects social issues in her interdisciplinary creations for twenty years plus. Working as actress, dancer, choreographer, and director, Kim mainly exposes on the stage actual stories of unprivileged and alienated people through a performing style, Cinema & play. In particular, she shows the interaction between theatrical language and cinematographic scene in various performances of Movement DangDang, performance group, which Kim founded.
Kim pursues to integrate singular expression with filmic images in her long-standing performing creation. Also, she aims that her performing activities with her colleagues resonate with emphatic sensation of audiences beyond the barrier of language. Kim’s previous works on stage have been extended into nine short films produced by her film production, DangDang cinema and the film, Face-to-face, is her first documentary.
