I grew up in California, Texas, and New Jersey. My dad is a VFX artist and my mom used to sing and now does voiceover work. I'm getting my degree in Animation with a concentration in 3D character animation, and minors in Storyboarding and Music Production. I love storyboarding, character design, and character animation, but I'm not good at the technical aspects. Artistically, I think the weird character designs influenced me in early Cartoon Network shows, stop-motion animated movies, and all the strange children's picture books I read when I was little.
I’ve always really liked horror stories for their entertainment value, but I’m very interested in the way that different themes can be explored through both horror and comedy. Since I’ve lived in Savannah, I’ve dealt with my own share of greedy landlords and property managers. I’ve learned more about huge companies buying up properties and kicking out residents who have lived there for years, just to build giant unaffordable complexes on top of what were once actual people’s homes. “FURNISHED” is about being forced out of your home by someone–a person, or maybe a company that doesn’t care about you–and the fantasy of getting to take revenge.
