FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - From Ashes to Ashes to Dust... We Rise!

In this reunion episode, the action takes place in 2016 -- five years after the series finale titled "ALWAYS" aired February 9th on DirectTv channel 101 and then re-aired July 15th, 2011 on NBC.

The episode is designed for a streaming platform (such as: Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, Apple TV, etc.) with no commercial breaks. Therefore, there will be no act breaks within the hour long tv drama format.

This episode is in three parts, which will run seamlessly within the body of the script. The running time of the episode is meant to be comparable to the running time of a feature length film.

Writer Biography

Originally from the Tri-State Area (born in Manhattan, but grew up in Bergen County, Jersey) then moved to suburban St. Louis as a teenager, Montagne is an actor, playwright, screenwriter and graduate of the Idyllwild Arts Academy who trained in sketch comedy acting and writing at The Second City (Chicago), Chicago City Limits (NYC), A.C.T (San Francisco), and HB Studios (NYC)

While at A.C.T.’s Studio Program in San Francisco in the early ‘90s, he continued training as an actor as well as play and screen writing, and performed in a variety of theatrical productions and in shorts and low budget independent films.

In Los Angeles, he honed skills as a screen and television writer at Writers Boot Camp and as an actor and playwright training with members of Tim Robbins’ Actors’ Gang Theater.

Along with creative partners Nick Gomez (“THE WALKING DEAD"; “THE RED ROAD”) and (writer/director/standup comic) Jason Slawson, he has been developing original projects for television and film, including: “EXILE CITY” (an hour-long series created with Nick Gomez and nominated as a semi-finalist in the ScreenCraft Pilot Launch Competition).

In 2018, he moved back to Los Angeles from the French Quarter of New Orleans where, in 2012, he produced and acted in an original three-act stage play he wrote titled “THE ZEITGEIST CHRONICLES” about the 2008 election of the first African-American president, which was workshopped at historically black college: Dillard University.

An earlier draft of his feature film “JAY WALKING IN VEGAS” was a semi-finalist in the ScreenCraft Comedy Screenplay competition.

Formerly repped by The Wayne Agency literary department; currently shopping: screenplays, stage plays and television projects as a writer and producer along with creative partners. Currently repped by literary agent Lanette Mastandrea of Sovereign Talent Group.

As an actor, last trained with Mercedes Ruehl at HB Studios and is repped as an actor by Leigh Keene and Tracey Michaels of Sovereign Talent Group for theatrical and commercial.
