Waad al-Kateab – Director/Producer
Waad al-Kateab is a Syrian journalist and filmmaker who works for Channel 4 News in the UK. During the siege of Aleppo she captured some of the most memorable images of the conflict - and her short news films won 24 awards – including the 2016 International Emmy for breaking news coverage.
Ed Watts - Director
Edward is an Emmy award-winning, BAFTA nominated filmmaker who has directed over 20 documentary films for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4 and PBS. His films tell stories of courage, heroism and humor, covering everything from war crimes in the Congo, to favela residents in Rio de Janeiro. His filmmaking aspires to tell visceral, gripping stories about people around the world and emphasize our common humanity to audiences back home. In so doing, he hopes his films can make a positive contribution to reducing the hatred in our tumultuous world.
