Lea (28) found the way to film through music because she visualizied moving images of her songs at an early age. The thirst for adventure led her through various professions and different countries to studying film at Zurich University of the Arts, where she began her bachelor’s degree in 2016.
Through the language of the film, she found a way to deal with personal issues and in interaction with music, she creates her own narrative rhythm.
For me, the forest implies a sanctuary where the force of nature can teach us the cycle of life. A small seed already contains all the information needed to grow into a huge tree. That fascinates me. I watch the blooming and fading of the flowers, the tides of the moon, birth and death. My film can be a reminder that humans are a form of nature and part of the life cycle. In the end, Moana transforms into a light and disappears into the night sky, where she reunites with her cosmic origins.
