FORGE

The flames make us who we are.
Whether wood, clay, iron, copper, or skin,
The flames real and figurative shape the forms of the world.
When misused or left to run free,
the fire normally is a destructive force,
feared by those it approaches.
But, as we learned over the millennia,
the oranges, yellows, reds, and blues can be harnessed,
used to create things never before thought imaginable.
