La segunda edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Yécora, FICY, se llevará a cabo durante cuatro días del 8 al 11 de abril del 2020 en el maravilloso pueblo de Yécora en Sonora, México.

El objetivo del festival es dar a conocer las diferentes culturas, tradiciones e identidades que existen en todo el mundo a través de cortometrajes de géneros familiares y cómicos. El FICY busca incentivar a la comunidad local a sensibilizarse por el arte y la producción cinematográfica.

Yécora es un punto turístico en el estado de Sonora en México, donde los pinos, las montañas y la naturaleza se conjuntan para crear un escenario idóneo para exhibir películas que enaltezcan el espíritu y la motivación.

​SELECCIÓN DE PELÍCULAS

Los realizadores que deseen inscribir su película al FICY pueden realizarlo a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway. Para la primera edición de éste festival se solicitarán películas:

- Realizadas después del 2012
- Máximo 20 minutos de duración
- Con temáticas familiares, motivacionales y cómicas
- Realizadas en cualquier parte del mundo

COMPETENCIA DE GUIÓN

Tu guión podrá ser producido por La Nova Films (Ser, Los Misterios del Templo de Pitiquito, El Callejón), el Festival Internacional de Cine de Yécora y patrocinadores involucrados. LNFSC es una vía para que los escritores aspirantes vean recomendados sus guiones a productores establecidos en la industria del cine en México.

a) Mejor guión de corto internacional
Guión de ficción hasta 30 páginas, en inglés, español o francés. Cualquier género. Guiones de cualquier parte del mundo. En formato PDF.

b) Mejor corto de Sonora
Guión de ficción hasta 30 páginas, en inglés, español o francés. Cualquier género. Guiones de Sonora, Méxic. En formato PDF.

c) Crítica, revisiones y notas adicionales.
Si deseas, también puedes enviar tu guión solamente para que sea revisado y mejorado para que realices una mejor película de forma profesional. La Nova Films te enviará tu guión con las correcciones y anotaciones 15 después de que envíes tu guión.

FICY & LA NOVA FILMS SCREENPLAY COMPETITION

Get your short film produced by La Nova Films (Ser, Los Misterios del Templo de Pitiquito, El Callejón), Festival Internacional de Cine de Yécora FICY and festival sponsors.

La Nova Films Screenplay Competition (LNFSC) is a vehicle for aspiring screenwriters to get their scripts recommended to established film producers who are actively working at film industry in México. LNFSC welcomes unproduced short film screenplays up to 30 pages in length.

We accept local, national and international narrative/fiction scripts up to 30 pages in length to be produced and/or reviewed by professional writers and filmmakers.

You can participate as follows:

a) Enter your script to participate for the best script FICY award and to be produced by industry professionals.
or
b) Send your script to be revised and receive advice and annotations to improve it and make the best movie possible.

The winners will be announced at Festival Internacional de Cine de Yécora (April 8-11, 2020). Filmmakers of selected scripts will be notified previously by email or phone.

RULES & TERMS FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION:

1. Running time less than 20 minutes
2. No limit to the number of entries
3. Films must be produced after January 2012
4. Projects may originate from anywhere in the world
5. The festival does not pay fees for films exhibition
6. Formats for exhibition once selected: Blu-Ray and Digital
7. For exhibition: other language different from Spanish, must have Spanish subtitles.
8. By submitting to FICY you confirm that you own the rights to your short film.

RULES & TERMS FOR BEST SCREENPLAY COMPETITION:

1. La Nova Films Screenplay Competition (LNFSC) welcomes unproduced short screenplays up to 30 pages in length.
2. By submitting to La Nova Films Screenplay Competition (LNFSC) you confirm that you own the rights to your screenplay.
3. By submitting your script for consideration for the LNFSC, you agree for LNFSC and its contest sponsor to produce your short screenplay if selected as the overall winner.
4. Narrative/Fiction scripts only.
5. Screenplays can be from around the world.
6. All submissions must have been written originally in English, Spanish or French.
7. All scripts must be submitted in PDF format.
8. You may submit more than one script, but you will need to pay an additional submission fee for each additional script.
9. The winners will be announced at Festival Internacional de Cine de Yécora (April 8-11, 2020). Filmmakers of selected scripts will be notified previously by email or phone.
10. You may submit more than one script in a category and more than one category at a time.
11. Our judges have an access to all submitted work and they vote without sharing your work publicly.
12. You may not substitute a “newer” draft of your script once it is submitted.
13. By submitting your screenplay via FilmFreeway, you acknowledge that LNFSC will not pay to present your work.
14. A filmmaker’s submission fee will not be reimbursed if they decide to withdraw their submission. All entry fees are non-refundable.
15. All participants acknowledge that no offer or contract is being made to the author (optioned, produced, purchase etc.) of the submitted work for anything other than consideration of the terms of the competition as outlined above.
