El Festival Internacional de Cine de Mérida y Yucatán tiene como principal objetivo promover y difundir el cine mexicano y latinoamericano (temática libre), apoyando a los nuevos realizadores y brindando un importante espacio de exhibición,siendo el festival más relevante del sureste de México. Así mismo, una de las prioridades del festival está destinada a la exhibición de obras que tengan entre sus temáticas centrales rescatar, preservar, fortalecer, prevenir y difundir los valores, principios, tradiciones, costumbres, idiomas originarios, expresiones artísticas y la gran diversidad de los pueblos originarios de todo el mundo.
The FICMY International Film Festival of Merida and Yucatan has as its main objective to promote and disseminate Mexican and Latin American cinema (free theme), supporting new filmmakers and providing an important exhibition space, being the most relevant festival in southeastern Mexico. El Festival Internacional de Cine de Mérida y Yucatán - FICMY y la Comisión Fílmica de Mérida y Yucatán, con el fin de contribuir a la actividad cinematográfica nacional, invita a guionistas mexicanos o extranjeros que residan en el país a participar en el Primer Concurso de Guion para Cortometraje 2020.
OBJETIVOS
- Incentivar la creación de guiones de Cortometraje.
- Premiar las labores creativas de los guionistas cinematográficos.
BASES DE PARTICIPACIÓN
- Podrán participar guionistas mayores de edad, mexicanos o extranjeros. - Los guiones de cortometraje deberán ser inéditos.
- Los guiones podrían ser en coautoría, siempre y cuando sea
representado por uno de los autores.
- Podrá inscribirse un solo guion por participante.
- Los escritores tendrán absoluta e irrestricta libertad de expresión y
el tema será libre.

DERECHOS DEL GUION
- El guion deberá estar finalizado y en idioma español.
- Si el guion tiene diálogos en otro idioma, es necesario incluir la
traducción correspondiente en español.
- En el caso de basarse en obras literarias ya existentes o ser
adaptaciones cinematográficas de éstas, deberá acompañar al guion la documentación que acredite la titularidad de los derechos de adaptación cinematográfica o la autorización para su uso.
- Certificado de registro del proyecto ante el Instituto Nacional del Derecho de Autor (INDAUTOR).
- En caso de que el proyecto se encuentre en trámite, presentar la constancia.
- En caso de ser una adaptación, deberá de informarse de esta condición y exponer prueba fehaciente de que cuenta con el consentimiento legal del autor.
FORMATO DEL GUION:
La obra deberá tener el formato de guion literario, siguiendo las especificaciones estándar de este tipo de obras, las cuales se detallan a continuación, y su extensión deberá ser como mínimo de 10 (diez) páginas, y como máximo de 12 (doce) páginas.

- Las páginas irán numeradas.
- El guion deberá estar escrito con interlineado sencillo y tipografía
