FACTORY SECRETS from Auto Mobile Body Works

FACTORY SECRETS explores the depth of the objectification of what we call a female body form and the poetic and emotional power of the movement of it when it is separated from the usual static programmed images of it we are generally immersed in. This work seeks to humanize female body/gendered forms and potentially challenge our perceptions of seeing them as female, sex-oriented, or two-dimensional out in public spaces. It is from a larger body of performance and projection work entitled: AUTO MOBILE BODY WORKS, a space-specific adventure in action based art that both imagines and reveals the integration of human and auto bodies. FACTORY SECRETS was originally created for large-scale projection on outdoor buildings and structures for live audience of passerbys or invited guests who traverse a trail of performance and projection locations in one evening.
