Madoka Yasome is a fourth-year university student who has tunnel vision. Having a fertile imagination, she enjoys her unique limited vision. She has had a dream since childhood, and one day just before her university graduation, she heads to a certain place to challenge the dream while going around her favorite places. What exactly is her dream? And can she realize it?

Director Statement

We are a group of four fourth-year university students studying multimedia under Associate Professor Masayo Tsurumi at Tsukuba University of Technology, a national university for the visually and the hearing impaired. All of us have visual impairment called "amblyopia."
People tend to feel sorry for us because we have amblyopia, but there are things we couldn’t have done and the world we couldn’t have drawn if we have “normal” eyesight. We produced the film ourselves, writing script and directing it as well, hoping that it would show the charm of the world of amblyopia to as many people as possible.
Therefore we are very glad that "Eyeself" could win some domestic prizes. Although this is our first work ever, we really wanted to make it a good one because we thought it would help students with visual impairment have the opportunity to work on film production in the future.
Also, we would like you to pay attention to the theme song which we express our gratitude to our parents for giving us the disability of amblyopia. Again, we would like as many people as possible to watch this film. Thank you.
