Exposed Consciousness contains three chapters. Every 35mm film strip represents one of my weeks during the spring of 2022. The three weeks are: A Typical Week, A Week in Portugal, and A Week That Fades.
To achieve this representation, I exposed a roll of 35mm film once a day, seven times a week, to express my stream of consciousness. The resulting layering of photos created a multiple-exposure panoramic experience of my week melding together. The first iteration of Exposed Consciousness involved 11-foot-long archival pigment prints. Now the project has evolved into an experimental short film inspired by Stan Brakhage's work.
