A lifelong fan of classic film, Enriquez was invited by brother-in-law and prominent character actor Eric Sharp to direct his feature debut, Canvas the Night.
While living in L.A., Enriquez worked on a number on films in various capacities in front of, and behind, the camera.
Enriquez views It Happened on Exposition Blvd. as his seminal work.
As a diehard film noir fan, I wanted to create something that reflected the great diversity noir films not of the Bogartesque "hardboiled detective" genre.
I feel so many parodies/tributes of film noir exclusively focus on the detective capers, they overlook great genre pictures exploring many other, fascinating themes.
It Happened on Exposition Blvd. is an ultra no-budget labor of love from me and several L.A. collaborators aimed at conjuring the nostalgia felt by so many die-hard fans of this iconic genre.
