“Exploring the Intersectionality of Climate Justice and How It Impacts the Western New York Community”
This video explores how climate change issues are interwoven into a wide array of society, affecting areas such as housing, food, water, and air. These impacts do not affect all people in a similar manner, but rather disproportionately affect communities of lesser economic status and those of color. Here in Western New York, there are organizations and people that focus on fighting climate change and the justice issues stemming from it, in sometimes rather unassuming ways. This video acknowledges that while working to spread awareness and mitigate effects from the changing environment, the need for climate justice is recognized in our community as an intersectional matter.
