British adventurer Charles Montier joins forces with 3 Wai Wai men, to make a dangerous journey from their village in Guyana, all the way to the Amazon River in Brazil. Relying on hunting and fishing to survive - and building a dugout canoe to travel in - they risk it all to explore one of the most remote regions of the Amazon jungle.

Charles Montier has made 6 expeditions in the jungles of Northern Amazonia. Obsessed with adventure books as a child, his dream was always to travel with locals and journey through the most remote regions of this dangerous - but beautiful - wilderness.

Director Statement

This film tells the story of my hardest expedition. Hunger and exhaustion made it pretty hard going, but it was a journey of a lifetime. I owe everything to the Wai Wai men for keeping me alive and guiding me through one of the Amazon's most remote regions.
