Exeter International Film Festival is held in the historic city of Exeter, England. The city boasts a famous Cathedral, and was the most south-westerly Roman fortified settlement in Britain. Its city motto is 'Semper Fidelis'; always faithful.
It is our mission to bring to the people of Exeter the best in Independent Filmmaking from around the world, regardless of genre, budget or language.
Over 95% of our programming is selected from our open submission process to allow new and emerging talents the opportunity to have their work recognised and brought to an audience.
We aim to have an engrossing selection of feature films, backed with a huge array of arresting short films, and a selection of short and feature-length documentaries.
We are a family run business with independent film making and distribution experience of over 40 films dating back to 2009, including managing several other International Film Festivals.
This makes us a great choice for any film festival attendee as we understand the process you have been going through from beginning to end.
We will have a number of awards in each category. Although the full list of awards will be determined by the films selected, we anticipate between 20 and 40 different awards being made in the festival.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR FILM IN THE CORRECT CATEGORY
Films submitted in the incorrect category will be automatically disqualified, & any fees paid will not be reimbursed.
At our discretion, we may choose to transfer a film to the correct category, but only if the appropriate level of submission fee has been paid. Any excess fees paid will not be reimbursed.

The Festival also requests publicity materials and a video trailer (if available). Publicity and press materials will not be returned.
