Indie Film Festival in Paris, Excuse My French is dedicated to international short films screenings. The festival aims to bring to Paris films loved all around the world or brand new one!

Excuse My French loves all genres of independent cinema: unique, intriguing, imaginative, stylised, explicit or just different from what we are used to watch…

Screening at Studio des Ursulines, in the core of Paris, we create our own DCP to provide the best quality experience to our audience.

Each edition, we work hard to make one of the best movies line up in French festivals!

Each film is seen and rated by a committee of three persons, including Excuse My French Festival organizers: Magali Souart and Fabio Soares.
All the movies are seen by the committee, there is no “pass by” accepted.
Members of the committee can’t be involved in any way, in movies taking part of the official selection.

The jury is composed by professionals from TV & Cinema, the list and CV of EMF Jury are available on our website.
The jury takes part to the screening in Paris and decide about the awards, except the audience award, given by the audience.
Excuse My French Festival organizers do not take part to the jury and respect their final decisions.

Excuse My French screening is covered by our media partner "Cinéma des Potes", and several media with special accreditations.

The third edition will take place on June 25th, 2018 at Studio des Ursulines - Paris.

Awards are IMDB eligible.
Awards Certificates, signed by our President of Jury, are sent by airmail to the winners.
Best Movie and Audience Award get an interview on our website and social networks.

Chosen by the Jury:
- Best Movie
- Best Actress
- Best Actor
- Best Director
- Best Screenplay
- Best Original Score

Audience award is chosen by the Audience.
During the deliberation, a special mention might be approved by the jury.

Short films of any genre and format up to 30 minutes are accepted
Documentaries of any genre and format up to 30 minutes are accepted
Music Video of any genre and format up to 15 minutes are accepted

All films must be French or english spoken or have English subtitles for other language

The production year shouldn’t be earlier than 2014

There is no premiere requirement.

A filmmaker can submit multiple films.

Decisions of the selection committee are final.
We are not responsible for any copyright infringement of your material and you give us the permission to publish your images, poster and trailer on our website and/or social media pages.

    Absolutely amazing and highly recommended! My film, Sisak, India's First Silent LGBTQ Love Story won the Best Film: Audience Award, which happened to be our premiere in Paris and I couldn't have been more glad that it was EMF!
