Every Thing That She Taught Me

Is Ayahuasca just a recreational drug or is it a plant with potential to heal the world? Keith Abraham, a former military veteran, recounts his experience of attempting to heal his trauma through Ayahuasca, a plant indigenous to the shamanic tribes of South America. His mysterious visions, alternate state of mind and out of body experiences reveal the healing potential of the plant. But is this potential the breakthrough we need in mental healthcare or is it just another whim? The archaic legalities reflecting our cultural attitudes continue to stand in the way of this quest. But is science equipped enough to answer the question? And more importantly, are we even ready to listen?
