Director Statement

This project was born out of a deeply personal need to create. After a long period of feeling stuck and creatively starved, producer Aaron Carnahan finally told me, "Just write something, and let's make it." We had limited time and zero budget, but somehow a week later we were filming 'Ever There', a story with a leading man who is likewise stuck and emotionally starved, and who in the end exacts some semblance of revenge on those charlatans who lead you astray when you're at your most vulnerable.

I hope it resonates with you and your audiences in some way, even if just an escape from the harsh reality we all inhabit.
