Ever Fallen

Ever Fallen, is M.G. White's punk rock "Romeo & Juliet" is a struggle for inclusion and relevance. Julie, a high school senior, is frustrated with the academic and social expectations of her socialite mother. Ari, a troubled punk girl, draws Julie into a world of music and counterculture escapism. Remy, a classical music prodigy who rejects the piano for the punk music scene, falls for Julie. Expectations and feelings collide as their lives spin dangerously out of control.

“Ever Fallen is my punk rock Romeo and Juliet,” explains Dr. White, Assistant Professor of Communication Arts at WSC. “I have
always had an interest in counterculture. It is interesting
that punk culture has endured for nearly 30 years. Yet, there a
re still youth who self-identify as punk for social and political reasons. I wanted to tell a story through that lens. The primary
theme is that the greatest expression of love is selflessness.”
