Director Statement

My directorial journey stems from a profound sense of dissatisfaction with the portrayal of female characters in the film industry. I've often felt that these representations barely capture the depth and complexity of the female experience. Directing has become my means of self-expression, allowing me to delve deeper into themes and narratives that resonate with me on a personal level.

This film, in particular, is a reflection of a conversation I wish I could have with my mother. Growing up in a middle-class Indian family, emotional openness, especially regarding taboo subjects, was not encouraged. Through this movie, I aim to portray the intricacies of these familial dynamics.
