Erman Germán is a Turkish and Spanish psychologist and self-taught filmmaker, having had experience in clinical psychology as a psychotherapist and experimental psychology as a researcher, Erman Germán works to integrate his work and training in behavioral sciences into his work with his filmmaking. He made the short film “14th of June” (2017), which he used as a chance to explore guerilla style filmmaking, doing everything by himself until the process of post-production. His next film “Relief” (2018) in a similar way, was made entirely by him aside from some help with sound editing and additional sound effects, this time with a script and shooting schedule. Then he entered into experimental cinema with “Opportunities I” (2020), his first installation on a project he’s also currently working on by experimenting with the mixing of similar yet different images in order to capture a unique feeling. Lastly, he made his latest film “Flurry Flare” (2024) in collaboration with composer Cem Güven.
