Entre las Vías: La Historia del Tren en Puerto Rico
Entre las Vías follows director Bryan Ferrer’s five-year exploration of Puerto Rico’s railway history. The documentary covers the island’s original railroad, its decline, and the modern Tren Urbano, a metro system designed for San Juan. It sheds light on the halted Tren Urbano expansions, stalled by political issues, and the resulting car dependency. Ferrer challenges the notion that the Tren Urbano is a failed project, showing instead that it remains unfinished, calling for renewed efforts to complete it and improve the island’s transportation future.
