Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) is a pan-African cultural and creative convergence that takes place in Lagos each November, uniting artists, entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders across six key tracks: Music, Film & TV, Fashion, AI & Tech, Live Production and Entrepreneurship. Our Film Festival serves as a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, connect with industry leaders, and gain the tools and resources needed to elevate their careers. Through a specially curated selection of films, we highlight the richness of African storytelling and the power of cinema to drive cultural change, establishing Africa as a premier destination for cinematic and digital creativity.

These Terms and Conditions outline the guidelines for participation in the EWA Content Festival. The candidates must adhere to the following rules. The EWA Committee reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling.
Any film, selected or not selected, will be a decision of the selection panel which is final and accepted by all. By Submitting the film, you agree to our GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN Entertainment Week Africa and that you have read our Rules and Regulations.

  • Festival selected and screened my film, but did not give me any communication, notice, or updates about it. I don't appreciate my intellectual property being used without my permission or notice.

I have emailed them multiple times and received no response. No thank you.

  • Quite a bad experience. The festival did not have my film on the date and time of my screening and I had to chase down the coordinators, provide the film, and have it screened three hours later than scheduled.
