Endowed
"Endowed" is a parable about fear, fatherhood and faith.
SYNOPSIS: An unborn child resists coming into this traumatic and dangerous world but is reminded by his father that he is endowed with unending potential. A hero yet to dawn.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
This film was inspired by a generational movement seeking optimism after the protests against racial injustice in 2016 and 2020. Those hot summers--where we saw each other in a new light--revealed that even the most humble of civic servants is heroic. In this way... we’re all endowed.

Tosin (he/him) is the proud son of Nigerian Immigrants now living in Kansas City, where he grew up. He is most known for his magnetic charm as a series regular on “Run The World” (STARZ) and his haunting intensity alongside David Oyelowo as a recurring guest on "Lawmen: Bass Reeves" (Paramount+).
Tosin is also an independent filmmaker whose festival-selected shorts include: "Endowed", a parable about fatherhood, and "On Sight", a social justice police thriller. Most recently, his proof-of-concept short “The Pulpit: Prelude” wracked up a dozen film festival accolades including “Best Actor” (Micheaux Film Fest). Tosin’s writing centers on stories of empathy, awareness, and finding human heroism in the face of institutional opposition.
He also recurs as a dreamy romantic on “Julia” (HBOMax), a hilarious F-boy on “Everything’s Trash” (Freeform), a teleporting superhero on “Black Lightning” (CW) and a drug lord on “The Chi” (Showtime). On film, he co-stars in the NAACP-nominated soldier film "The 24th" and Blumhouse/Amazon’s "Blackbox" with Phylicia Rashad. Next up, he co-stars in Ray Liotta’s last film, the heist thriller “1992”.
