Lucas Nasu Nielsen grew up in Burnaby, British Columbia and discovered his love for filmaking when he was 7 years old. At 7 years of age he enrolled in a summer camp called, Young Moviemakers where he was introduced to creating a short film, over the course of a week. Lucas is now working as a mentor for young children for Young Moviemakers. Lucas is always making films with his friends and family and enjoys the process of creating, filming and editing. This film, "Empty Milk Cartons,” was awarded, Best Technical, and Best Performance at the 2018 Zoom Film Festival Gala. Lucas was recognized for Best Performance, for the film, "What May Come," at the 2017 Zoom Film Festival Gala. He is also known for his work in the short films, "A Change of Rhythm" and "One of A Kind."
"This film was a lot of fun to create and film. Everyone who was a part of, Empty Milk Cartons were incredible and extreamly important to the success of this film. Big thanks to, Ben, Reid, Marshall M, and Marshall H, for bringing their A game in front and behind the camera."
