Emma Underwood is a queer transgender filmmaker and musician from Ithaca, NY. Her first film "Transmission: Lisa Stephen Friday" is a look into the contemporary trans artist community.

Her works center around topics of Gender, mental health, addiction, and community building.

She is 2022 recipient of the Creative's Rebuild New York Income for Artists grant, and a Cinema student at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
