Emma is Neoteric Dance Company’s Artistic Director and Dance Artist. Emma graduated from Coventry University with a Ba Hons in Dance and Professional Practise in 2009, complete her Masters training to become a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (MA, RDMP, ADMP UK) in 2014.
Emma is drawn to creating mixed-media dance works, with a strong focus on artist collaboration. This is because she is interested in how dance and other art disciplines can come together to create work, that not only sees artists stay within their own art modalities, but sees them embraces and incorporate other artist's ways of working to achieve a joint outcome.
Emma hopes that through dance individuals are able to connect not only to themselves, but to those around them; seeing them find alternative ways to express their thoughts, emotions and experiences, whilst finding space to dance and moving for the pure joy if it.
